The Las Vegas Raiders franchise just doesn’t seem able to part with the idea of Jon Gruden finally bringing them a trophy. NFL fans reacted to reports Raiders owner Mark Davis is interested in bringing Gruden back as the head coach again with their current vacancy.
Gruden has been the Raiders head coach before in two previous stints. He was there from 1998 to 2001 before the Raiders traded him to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Gruden came back to coach the team from 2018-2021 before his emails became public, where Gruden used homophonic and racist terms.
Gruden is suing the NFL and Commissioner Rodger Goodell for allegedly leaking the emails. Davis said he’d “love to” hire Gruden back if he were to drop the lawsuit.
Funny how the NFL, who pressured Davis to fire Gruden, is willing to let bygones be bygones if that gets Gruden’s lawsuit thrown out.
Fans reacted to the report the Raiders are interested in hiring Gruden again. Here are the best takes on X of fans reacting to Gruden having to decide between the lawsuit and a head coaching job.
If Mark Davis re-hires Gruden the Raiders will fall further down the hole.

@nfl @nflcommish NFL would pay a cool $1 Billion dollars split between Gruden & Raiders in private settlement and or NFL fires Go2Hell and reaches lower amount w/ Gruden & Raiders. Owners want this settled and it's an easy solution.

Only under one condition. He has no final say in draft picks, and free agent signings. Let the GM handle that.
Actually nah…been there done that. Move forward

Sounds like Gruden’s lawsuit might actually have some weight to it.

This might come as news but the Raiders don’t do passive nods…, that being said, we don’t need grudens old school coaching, it’s not enough. Need someone with new concepts and able to predict what other teams new concepts will be.

Shows just how badly the NFL doesn't want to be exposed….

Wow…. Very very interesting here! If he dropped the lawsuit, the NFL would be estatic with that.
