Davante Adams Want To Be A Raider
Stephen R. Sylvanie-USA TODAY Sports

Las Vegas Raiders star wide receiver Davante Adams is happy with the team. Despite what any rumors say, he reiterated his stance as a Raider this past weekend. “If I wanted to be gone, I’d be gone by now,” Adams told reporters from his football camp. “This is where I want to be.”

His stance is thanks to new Raiders head coach Antonio Pierce. Pierce took over after Josh McDaniel’s was fired. McDaniel’s caused a rift throughout the whole roster and it was no secret that Adams wasn’t happy under McDaniel’s. Once Pierce took over, the team was re-energized. Finishing at 5-4 gave the team a lot of optimism going into next season. “It’s already helped the morale of the team. It’s what we were all looking for: To be able to continue with the same mindset that we had. That’s our guy,” he said Sunday, according to The Athletic.

Reuniting with new Raiders offensive coordinator Luke Getsy, who was on the Packers’ staff when he was a rookie in 2014. He’ll be working someone who he already has established some trust with. He’s another guy that Adams is onboard with and excited to get to work with. The Raiders front office has done very well this off season accommodating their star player but they need to give him some help as well. As great as Adams is, he can’t do it all by himself. Look for the Raiders to add some playmakers through the draft next week.
