Baltimore Ravens Looking To Add To One Specific Position
Jessica Rapfogel-USA TODAY Sports

After clinching the top spot in the AFC last season, the Baltimore Ravens have firmly established themselves as one of the premier teams in the conference, capable of challenging even the reigning Super Bowl champions, the Kansas City Chiefs.

During the offseason, the Ravens made a significant move by acquiring Derrick Henry, bolstering their already formidable running game and potentially making it the most potent in the league next season.

As the 2024 NFL Draft approaches, the question arises: what position should Baltimore prioritize with their top selection or in free agency?

Insights from ESPN insider Jeremy Fowler, shared on Twitter, identified wide receiver as the Ravens’ primary area of need.

According to Fowler, the Ravens are in search of a standout wide receiver to complement Lamar Jackson, a strategic move that could elevate their offense to new heights.

In the 2023 season, rookie Zay Flowers emerged as Baltimore’s top wide receiver, amassing impressive stats with 77 receptions, 858 receiving yards, and five touchdowns.

Pairing Flowers with another talented rookie wide receiver could provide the Ravens with a formidable aerial threat unseen in their recent history. Moreover, it would afford them ample salary cap flexibility to add experienced veterans to either their offensive or defensive units post-draft.

Fowler also noted that having two elite receivers in the starting lineup would be unprecedented for Jackson throughout his career, potentially unlocking new dimensions in the Baltimore Ravens’ offensive playbook.
