Just recently, Dallas went home with the close 117-116 victory over the Thunder. In that contest, Luka Doncic put on a marvelous show by making 29 points on 60 percent shooting from the field and 66 percent from beyond the arc. He also tallied 10 rebounds and 10 assists in almost 45 minutes on the court. Kyrie Irving and Derek Jones Jr. each 22 points, while PJ Washington sank two crucial free throws that sealed the win for the Mavericks.

Skip Bayless Drops Hot Take on Shai Gilgeous-Alexander’s Mistake in Oklahoma City Thunder’s Game 6 Loss

After the game, various personalities gave their take on how the Thunder’ season has ended. Among those who reacted is Undisputed host Skip Bayless in a tweet he posted on X:

“AS GREAT AS HE PLAYED, SGA JUST CANNOT FOUL PJ WASHINGTON ON A 3-POINT SHOT. CANNOT PUT HIS COACH IN A DESPERATE POSITION OF CHALLENGING WHAT OBVIOUSLY WAS A FOUL AND LOSING THE TIMEOUT THAT COULD’VE GIVEN OKC A GOOD LOOK TO WIN,” Bayless tweeted.

As scathing as Bayless’ take was, the constant LeBron James-critic made a fair point on how Gilgeous-Alexander played in the final minutes of Game 6. Fortunately, the Thunder star owned up to his mistake without making a big fuzz about it.

Even though the Thunder’s season is now over, their future in the league is only just beginning. With SGA and company onboard, there’s no reason not to see OKC in the playoffs again next year.
