Watch: Lewis Hamilton celebrates Lando Norris’ milestone win at Miami with a wholesome gesture

Lando Norris has had a memorable day at the Miami Street Circuit. Just a few hours ago, he secured his maiden Grand Prix win in the sport, and while the world has come forward to shower immense praise, Mercedes’s Lewis Hamilton also did not hold back in showing his appreciation for his fellow Brit.

At the end of the grueling 57-lap race, Lewis Hamilton was seen turning up alongside Lando Norris in his W15. Moreover, the former was then seen clapping his hands and gesturing a thumbs up toward Norris while being in the cockpit.

This reaction from the seven-time world champion has caught the eyes of fans all over the globe. The wholesome moment has found a place for itself in the heart of the fans and thus, they have been reacting in huge numbers to the viral video.

Hamilton has always had a knack for applauding and promoting young talent. His recent antics around Norris do not come as a huge surprise as his die-hard fans are well aware of the kind of person Hamilton is and how he never fails to applaud young guns making their make in F1.

While Lewis Hamilton created a wholesome moment at the end of the Miami GP, during the post-race interview, he also took the time to dwell on his outing. Starting the race from eighth place, Hamilton managed a P6 finish.

Moreover, by the last few laps of the event, he was right behind Sergio Perez‘s RB20.

In my race today, I had some enjoyable battles out there. I was giving it everything I had to make progress and made a couple of good overtakes. We were challenging the Red Bull at the end so to be able to race them felt great. Lewis Hamilton said in his post race interview

The Mercedes F1 team has had an immense struggle with its 2024 challenger since the start of the campaign. Lewis Hamilton has bashed the car on multiple occasions but seeing the performance output in Miami, he has oozed a bit of confidence going ahead into the season. Mercedes has now managed to put on board 64 points in the Constructors Championship.
